Appearance: Venus' princess actually has four different appearances in the present life. Aino Minako, Sailor V, Sailorvenus, and Princess Serenity.

Aino Minako - Minako is a slender girl with a small face (a sign of great beauty in Japan). She has typical asian features, and wears her dark brown hair layered just past her shoulders, with full, flat bangs cut at her eyebrows. As an idol, Minako wears usually nice street clothes, often preferring feminine skirts. She also tends to keep it more low-key to prevent being mobbed by fans. On stage, she has a tendancy to wear slightly 'funkier' clothing with bright colors.

Sailor V - Before the other senshi were awakened, Sailorvenus was Sailor V. With long, golden-blonde hair that curled at the end and sporting a cute red bow, Sailor V's appearance gave no indication to her real identity. She wears a crescent moon emblem on her forehead, red mask and earrings, white gloves with gold banded tops, a white choker with a crescent moon, and blue shoes. The uniform itself is a blue schoolgirl (or sailor) pleated skirt, and a short-sleeved blouse with a sailor collar, and a large pink bow on the front. Armor covers the bust beneath the bow, and the shoulders beneath the collar.

Sailorvenus - The senshi of love and beauty, Sailorvenus' colors are orange and blue. She wears the typical white fuku of the other scouts with a short, pleated orange skirt and an orange sailor collar with a single white stripe. Over the bust armor is a stiff blue bow with an orange jewel in the middle. She, like Sailor V, has blonde hair with a red bow. Sailorvenus' bow has decorations in it however. Unlike the other senshi, Sailorvenus wears a tiara and has a crescent moon on her forehead. She wears a red-jeweled and gold chain at her waist.

Princess Serenity - Princess Serenity looks much like Aino Minako, except she bears the crescent moon mark on her forehead, and wears an elegant white dress, appropriate for the royal court of the moon palace of the past.

Personality: Most people don't get the chance to see the different sides of this girl. The general populus sees Aino Minako, a cheerful, cute idol. Common thieves saw Sailor V, perky and playful soldier of justice. The Dark Kingdom and her enemies only see Sailorvenus or Princess Serenity. It's only Sailormars, Sailorjupiter and Artemis that have seen who she is as a person, rather than a name.

Once Minako recieved her mission as a sailor senshi, she lost that truthfully cheerful part of herself, and became focused on the past life, intent on carrying out her duties in spite of, and at the risk of causing the premature progression of her illness. She preferred at first to push ahead and live her life to the fullest, not as Aino Minako, but as a sailor senshi. As Sailor V, Minako's playful side came out as she teased and antagonized thieves and criminals. Once the other senshi were awakened, Sailor V became Sailorvenus, and playtime was over. With stronger powers and stronger enemies, Minako forgot about herself, and why she sang. With the belief that she would die anyway, she became reckless and cold towards others.

It was the other senshi, Sailormars and Sailorjupiter, that allowed her to see how she truly was. She now sees the importance in her own life as well as others, and why singing once made her happy and does once more. She smiles more often, but by no means has she ever forgotten her duties.

Abilities/Strengths: Aino Minako's most popular and widely known ability is her singing. Her songs can cheer others up, and make them feel stronger. Singing is one of Minako's biggest sources of happiness, which is powerful in itself.

She has the ability to focus and stay focused on whatever task is at hand. Minako also remembers the most about the senshi's past lives. As all the senshi, she has acrobatic abilities that she incorporates in her fighting style.

As a senshi, Sailorvenus is one of the strongest attack-wise, and has several abilities:

Venus Crescent Beam - A beam of light directed at enemies that can either weaken or directly destroy them. This attack had the capability to destroy the shitennou Zoisite in one hit even before her senshi powers were awakened.

Venus Love Me Chain - Directed through the chain at her waist, this attack becomes a large whip of energy and light. She can also use the chain as a shield against physical attacks.

Rolling Heart Vibration - Sailorvenus' strongest attack and one she discovered when she awakened her senshi powers. Waves of heart-shaped energy barrage the enemy in rapid succession. This attack weakened a youma that before hadn't been touchable by the other senshi.

Weaknesses: Each of the senshi are recognized for a particular trait they possess that aids them in their abilities. Sailormercury possesses uncommon intelligence, Sailormars possesses a spiritual sixth sense, Sailorjupiter possesses physical strength, and Sailormoon possesses a noteably pure heart. However, Sailorvenus has no talent or ability that separates her from the others.

Before her illness went into recession, Sailorvenus was prone to bouts of weakness and dizziness, and even fainting that would leave her vulnerable to enemy attacks. She still has not fully regained her strength, and cannot attack physically with the strength the others do. Sailorvenus took the longest to fully awaken her senshi powers.

Minako lives for the past life, rather than the present. It's been a source of conflict between her and Rei for some time. It was overcoming that which allowed her to awaken her senshi powers. However, she still bases her decisions too much on the past life for Sailormars' liking.

Notable Possessions: Maboroshi no Ginzuishou/Illusionary Silver Crystal (Princess Serenity) - For a crystal with the power to destroy worlds, the ginzuishou is surprisingly small. While the real one is contained within the Princess' body to prevent enemies from obtaining it, Sailorvenus wears a copy of the jewel in her tiara.

Jewelry Star Bracelet (Aino Minako/Sailorvenus) - A silver charm bracelet that allows Minako to transform into Sailorvenus. While transformed, the bracelet more closely resembles a watch: a broad, white band with Sailorvenus' pearlescent transformation (or henshin) brooch.

Sailor Star Tambourine (Sailorvenus) - A weapon with a toylike appearance, Sailorvenus' Sailor Star Tamborine is a pink and gold outline of a star, with the top arm formed of a gold heart with an orange center and the symbol of the planet venus inside it, and a pink star setting atop the heart. Four small gold stars are attached to the other four points. This allows Sailorvenus a channel to focus certain powers, and to link with the other sailor senshi for powerful group attacks.

Love-Me Chain (Sailorvenus) - A chain of red domed jewels set in gold that Sailorvenus wears around her waist. She uses the love-me chain for one of her attacks, and also as a shield.

Twin Swords (Sailorvenus) - Two short swords somewhat resembling sai. Transformed version of the Sailor Star Tambourine, and can be used to channel attacks or as physical weapons.

History: Mercury. Venus. Mars. Jupiter. Saturn. Uranus. Neptune. Pluto. The Earth and the Moon.

At one time, all those planets people know today as cold and lifeless once each bore their own civilizations. Only the Earth, fruitful and teeming with plant and animal life, remained free of humans, a symbol of the alliance between each of the planets. The inner planets were protected by their princesses, the sailor senshi: Sailormercury, Sailorvenus, Sailormars, Sailorjupiter, and their leader, Sailormoon. The senshi spent most of their time in the palace of the Moon Kingdom, where they carried out their second duty, protecting Princess Serenity (Sailormercury), daughter of the Queen of the Moon Kingdom.

The four outer planets were protected by the shitennou: Zoisite (Saturn), Nephrite (Uranus), Jadeite (Neptune), and Kunzite (Pluto). Their duty, to protect the inner planets from outside invaders, kept them isolated from the rest of the Solar System. Their leader Endymion, however, lived in the Moon Palace and protected Princess Serenity. Endymion fell quite in love with Princess Serenity, and she with him. Their love was not the only one that budded however. Sailorvenus, intrigued by the outer planets, often visited Saturn and the shitennou Zoisite. She enjoyed his music, and he her bright, playful personality, and that she also provided an excellent companion for philosophical conversations.

Happily oblivious to the couple in the Moon Kingdom and even Sailorvenus, the outer planets became aware of an approaching comet, enshrouded with evil energy. The comet hosted Metalia, an entity that sought to destroy the entire solar system, and it's happy people. It passed through the outer planets with little resistance from the shitennou; it was too powerful. It left behind in it's wake four dead planets. On a collision course for the moon, the Princess Serenity was unable to do little more than ensure that the inner planets and her friends would be reborn with the power of the Ginzuishou. In the final battle, Metalia was sealed by the Ginzuishou, but not before it had destroyed the inner planets, the Earth, and finally the moon.
